When I first became interested in LEGO, the Friends theme always caught my eye because of its fun colors and the inclusion of animals in most of their sets. Year after year, they have released adorable sets in amazing subthemes, and lo and behold, they’ve done it again in 2024. On the first of January, over 20 Friends sets were released and ready for order, and if you were anything like me, you had a hard time picking just one or two. My first pick was #42612, the “Cat Playground Adventure.” This set contains 87 pieces and retails for only $10.99 USD. As I mentioned earlier, one of my favorite aspects of the Friends theme is the adorable animals they include. In this set, we are introduced to a new chubby, fuzzy, orange friend named Poundcake!” There is so much for the cats to do on the playground, while providing plenty of entertainment for either you or your kids.
